“I’ve learned to step back from my fears,” reflected Shannon Edmunds, who just spent a week on board Logos Hope with others from her high school. They came as a Vision Team, a group from a country other than the one the ship is currently in wishing to experience ship life for up to three weeks. Although Shannon was at first afraid to fly, she flourished in the onboard community. “Just being in such a multicultural, international environment opens their whole perspective,” said chaperone Ros van Baaren (UK). Having discovered a passion for people, Shannon spent her daily free time on the visitor deck where she remembers helping one struggling school girl in particular find a book that could encourage her. That was just one of many ways Shannon served others while on board.
